From the Star-News:
"Town officials are moving one step closer with plans to begin building a route, the proposed N.C. 53 project, that will provide a bypass from the N.C. 53 and U.S. 117 intersection to Smith Street.
Town Manager Martin H. Beach and his staff will review proposed plans for the corridor submitted by Raleigh-based engineering firm Kimley-Horn and Associates Inc. to come up with recommendations to aid the town board's decision on whether or not to adopt the firm's plan, Beach said Tuesday at a board meeting.
The board plans to make a decision at its Dec. 12 meeting."
